Nail Polish Rumblings: PolisHaus Wolf Grey

Pics 2013 060

I have mentioned it before, but I am a nail polish addict. Seriously, I have a problem. I own between 250-300 nail polishes which is ridiculous. You would think with the vast amount of polish that I own that I would stop buying it, but no. My want list is growing at an alarmingly high rate and when I am back in the land of the employed, I plan on going on a nail polish buying spree. Well, I plan on buying more than just nail polish but I digress. I spend  a lot of my time looking at nail polish blogs and staring at swatches so I figured why not start taking pics of my nail polish. Now for someone who paints her nails multiple times a week, I SUCK at painting my nails. My lack of nail painting skills is rather impressive I must say, so my nails may not be the prettiest things in the world, but whatever. I’m doing this more for me and my own amusement so there ya go. 🙂Read More »

Music Rumblings: Music Monday 11.18.13

It has been a very emotional week for me capped off by a not so pleasant anniversary. 10 years ago today, my beloved grandmother who was and, in many ways, still is my reason for being and the light of my life passed away. Her passing was very unexpected and still affects me to this day. I really would give anything to have her back again. On this very sad day, here are two songs that remind of me this loss.

1) One Sweet Day- Mariah Carey featuring Boyz II Men

2) Drifting- Sarah McLachlan

Technically this song is not about death, but I remember listening to this song after she passed and I broke down. I tend to avoid listening to this song as I can’t listen to it without thinking of my grandma and it makes me really sad.

Exclusive Reign Sneak Peek: Is Francis About to Choose a Mistress Over Mary?!

Gahhhh. This show makes my TV life. Reign is my newest guilty pleasure and I cannot wait for tomorrow’s episode.

Looks like the honeymoon is over for Reign‘s Mary and Francis — and they’re not even married yet.

Olivia, one of the prince’s exes, returns to court in this Thursday’s episode of the CW drama (airing at 9/8c). And as you’ll see in this exclusive sneak preview, Mary does. not. like. that. one. bit.

According to the episode’s official synopsis, all of this mistress talk sends the teen queen to seek comfort in Francis’ half-brother, Bash. Interesting.

Press PLAY on the video below to watch Mary and Francis do a pretty mean impression of the sitting French king and his bitter wife. Does this kind of situation foretell a bleak future for the young royals?

Music Rumblings: Music Monday 11.4.13

Happy 1st Monday of November! I “say” it all the time, but this year is going by so quickly. A couple of weeks ago, Korean singer Kahi released her 2nd mini-album Who Are You? She is promoting “It’s Me” which was composed by Rottyful Sky aka Kim Ha Neul who recently passed away at the young age of 25 (Korean age). The song itself has really grown on me and it’s different from what I have been listening to as of late. It’s classy, sexy and very different from other songs in K-Pop these days.

Since Kahi is known as a bad-ass dancer, the choreography version of the music video is below for your viewing and listening pleasure!  Also, if you want to read the translated lyrics, they can be found here at 🙂

Two random facts about me. 1) I LOVE Christmas! It is my absolute favorite holiday. 2) I LOVE Hallmark Channel movies.  They bring an immense amount of joy into my life. So combine my two favorite things and you get Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas which kicked off yesterday, Saturday, November 2. Every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas, Hallmark Channel will premiere a new original holiday movie to celebrate the season. Besides Christmas music, these movies are what put me into the holiday spirit. They can be on the cheesy side, but that is part of the reason why I love them. They are nice, wholesome and represent the spirit of the holiday and that makes me happy.  The entire schedule can be found at After the cut, are the new holiday movies premiering during the Countdown to Christmas event.
